Dear AHCC Clients,
The health and safety of our employees, our clients, and the community at large is our primary concern as we continue to feel the effects of the Coronavirus in our area. We are constantly assessing our protocols and service in light of this ongoing pandemic. It is critical for all of us to comply with local, state, and federal government orders and to take them seriously. As a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the PA Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), it is also our responsibility to follow the guidelines and recommendations of industry experts in times of uncertainty and crisis. With that in mind, we are announcing a temporary adjustment in our hospital hours and services to help keep our employees, our clients, and the community at large safe during this challenging period.
Effective March 24, 2020, we are implementing the following changes to our schedule and operating procedures. These changes will remain in effect for an indefinite period of time, until we receive updated guidance from the AVMA/PVMA and from local, state, and federal authorities.
- Our hours of operation, effective March 24, 2020 are Monday – Friday 10am – 5pm.
- All elective procedures, such as annual examinations, vaccinations, spays/neuters, and routine dentals, will be postponed until further notice.
- We will maintain the policies already in place, including car-side services, phone consultations, and enhanced cleaning procedures within the hospital.
We know that your pets are an important part of your support system during times like these. We, in turn, will continue to provide them with the highest quality care. It is our responsibility, as it is for everyone in our community, to play our part in helping to minimize the exposure and spread of this virus.
We take this responsibility and the requests from government officials seriously. We encourage all of our clients to do the same. Working together, we can minimize the disruption that this ongoing pandemic has caused and return to our normal routines as quickly as possible.
